Around the Web…

A few things you may have missed this week around the web…

Baptist 21 posted a couple articles this week posting it’s Top Ten SBC Stories of 2010, with links to more information about each. As one might imagine, the GCR topped the list, with the hiring (or non-hiring) of entity heads being high on the list as well. It’s posted in two parts, which can be found here (Part 1) and here (Part 2).

You’ve gotta love Ed Stetzer. In addition to being a great guy and an asset to the SBC, he’s also incredibly funny sometimes. If you missed his twitter series tagged #TheologicalRoidRage, you were missing out. Thankfully, he’s recapped it on his blog. Remember, it’s HUMOR folks.

In case you missed it, John Piper recently returned from an eight month leave of absence from his church. Upon his return, he posted a report on this leave, sharing a host of lessons he learned during this time away. Definitely worth a look.

What would the SBC be without a bit of controversy? Apparently, the guys as founders.org are being accused of cybersquatting the domain southernbaptistconvention.org. Tempest in a teapot, or something more? Check out Bart Barber’s post and decide for yourself.

Finally, a bit of humor. A pretty hilarious YouTube video was brought to my attention this week, casting Benny Hinn as Dark Lord of the Sith. If you’re a Benny Hinn fan, forgive me (but you’ve gotta admit, it’s quite funny!).

What have you seen around the web this week that you’ve found challenging, interesting, or entertaining? Feel free to share in comments here. One link per comment please, or else they’ll get buried in our spam filter!

(BTW, we’d like to do this feature every week. If you see things worth sharing, drop us a note and we’ll add it to the list to share!)
