sbcIMPACT… New and Improved!
Posted by John Stickley in IMPACT Features
About a week ago, we posted notice that sbcIMPACT would be undergoing some major site renovations, and that we’d be delivering a new and improved site for all of our readers.
That day is finally here!
Several things you’ll notice about our new home:
- New URL! Though sbcimpact.net will still get you here, we’ve changed domains to sbcimpact.org. The reason for this is simple… ease of transition. We’ve been able to build the new site here over the past week and not disturb any of our content on the old site.
- A new webhost! Yes, we know site speed was becoming a MAJOR issue over at the old place. Part of that was the size of the site… some of it was a lack of optimization… but much was our webhost. We’re VERY pleased with the switch so far (and all the tweaks we’ve implemented), and hope you will be too!
- A whole new look! Obvious, I know. But we definitely like it, and hope you will too. One thing to remember… we’re still moving in, so you may find some odd post formatting or images here and there. Bear with us, we’re working on it.
- Spam control. We’ve made a few tweaks to improve spam control, including automatically closing posts to comment older than 60 days. If you have any issues with commenting, we want to know, so please contact us!!
If you do have any comments or suggestions, feel free to comment here or to get in touch with us through our contact form. We’re here for you, and want to make this place as good as it can possibly be!
Enjoy!

John…. you’ve done a great job here. The site should be much more interactive!
Blessings,
Chris
Oooooohhhh, very cool. I like very much. It is faster, sleeker, ascetically pleasing, and professional looking. Great work John!
Very fresh. Looking forward to reading some of your topics this coming year.
Kudos to John for a great job well done.
Thanks, everyone. It was quite a bit of work getting this together, but well worth it.
Now it’s up to you guys to put this site to use to its fullest potential!
